My Passion for Birds
At Good Bird Dude Photography, I focus on capturing birds in their own world—wild, relaxed, and doing their thing. I’m driven by a real love for birds and the places they live, and I try to show their personality, behavior, and beauty in every image.
I also offer relaxed, one-on-one bird guiding to help you explore local habitats, find more birds, and get to know their stories out in the field. And if you’re curious about bird photography, I’m happy to slow down, talk settings and light, and help you learn how to photograph birds in a simple, hands-on way.

Hi, I’m Chris, the bird nerd and photographer behind Good Bird Dude Photography.
So, what counts as a good bird?
A bird that shows up in great light.
A bird that yells at me from the top of a tree.
A bird that lets me take 400 photos before flying away.
Or any bird that makes me stop, look, and stay outside a little longer.
I photograph birds, wildlife, and the wild places they depend on. I’m especially drawn to Florida’s scrub, sandhill, wetlands, and coastal habitats.
Around here, you’ll find:

- Warblers, ospreys, scrub-jays, and the occasional blurry bird
- Slightly chaotic field hair
I’m a veteran, environmental scientist, naturalist, and camera carrier who can talk about one bird for at least 20 minutes.
